‘LAS LETRAS YA NO IMPORTAN’ is a reaffirmation of what has been René’s great asset since the beginning of his career. RESIDENTE has grown by asserting that writing good lyrics is not incompatible with an artist’s success or with their popular appeal. RESIDENTE is a complete artist who has not only excelled musically but has also championed art in all its forms.
To announce ‘LAS LETRAS YA NO IMPORTAN’, RESIDENTE enlisted the Spanish actress and singer, globally known for ‘Money Heist’, Najwa Nimri as a psychologist; however, RESIDENTE didn’t stop there. To further build the imagery of his new work, he has collaborated with one of Spain’s most important actresses of recent decades: Penélope Cruz, who starred in the music video for ‘313’. In total, a cast of stars who have collaborated with René include other names such as Michelle Jenner or Javier Cámara playing a confessor priest, paying homage to his role in Paolo Sorrentino’s highly acclaimed series ‘The Young Pope’.
And therefore, RESIDENTE, who feels a strong artistic connection to Spain, a country he has visited countless times, has decided to start his ‘LAS LETRAS YA NO IMPORTAN TOUR’ with two concerts in Barcelona and Madrid at the end of the summer of 2024.
RESIDENTE will kick off his new world tour with two concerts in Barcelona and Madrid on September 14 and 15 at Palau Sant Jordi and Wizink Center, respectively. In this LAS LETRAS YA NO IMPORTAN TOUR, René will be celebrating the release of his new project at two of the world’s most iconic venues, with a show worthy of his legend.
