With this intimate version of the song “313”, Residente offers a preview of his upcoming two concerts in Spain, part of his international tour, in the most emblematic venue for the artist who has won 36 Latin Grammy Awards.
On March 15th, the Museo del Prado was the chosen setting by Residente, considered one of the greatest rappers in history, to present a very personal and intimate version of his recent song “313,” performed alongside singer Silvia Pérez Cruz and violinist Noemí Gasparini.
The Central Gallery and Room 12 of the Museo del Prado envelop Residente’s verses in a song that pays tribute to his friend Valentina Gasparini, who passed away in 2022. The emotion and sentiment of the composition are heightened by the vocal choir accompanying the artist as he recites in Velázquez’s hall and enhanced by the unmistakable voice of Silvia Pérez Cruz merging with Noemí Gasparini’s violin in front of Rubens’ “The Adoration of the Magi.”
A video to remember, emphasizing the volatility of the ephemeral while enjoying the immortality of art:
That’s why we have to die so that others are born
So that nothing stops
So that everything always begins
But everything that begins, at some point ceases to exist
That’s why we have to live without missing anything

This collaboration provides a new vision of great classical painting that continues to inspire today’s artists.
